Fibertown is seeking a Business Development Manager to be responsible for prospecting and developing new business relationships with key target accounts for FIBERTOWN'S Datacenter and Business Continuity office space. 

Functions:

  • Prospect, qualify and close sales for both collocation and business continuity office space for Gulf Coast (primarily Houston) based companies.
  • Work with the customer to identify underlying issues of customer's business problems and recommend the appropriate FIBERTOWN solutions
  • Daily prospecting in Houston market resulting in qualified leads
  • Develop and manage partner relationships in order to drive new leads and prospects
  • Develop partner training documents and conduct partner training meetings regularly in order to increase awareness of FIBERTOWN solutions
  • Develop customer presentations and participate in customer meetings regularly
  • Achieve targeted sales quota consistently
  • Develop clear, specific, action-oriented account plans to develop accounts and present these plans regularly to management for review and guidance

Requirements:

  • Formal training in Solution Selling (SPIN Selling, Strategic Selling, Solution Selling or other solution based selling training)
  • Ability to use Salesforce.com as a means to track activity, performance and overall CRM functions
  • Bachelors Degree in Business Administration, Computer Science or other related field (work experience may be substituted for degree)
  • 4+ years sales experience in the Houston IT Sales community
  • Hosting solution sales (collocation, managed services and professional services) experience preferred
  • Prefer proven successful sales record in an IT consulting sales environment
  • Previous experience selling to C-level decision makers in Houston business market
  • Excellent presentation and verbal and written communication skills
  • Must be able to work independently with little supervision
  • Strong knowledge of the IT industry
  • Must be able to set goals and develop a business plan
  • Must be self-motivated and activity/performance driven
  • Must be able to effectively use sales automation tools, applications software and equipment to manage the sales/service process
